Cold Fairyland. a China rock band with Chinese characteristics

The music form Cold Fairyland band music is most be folk -based, rich and full, many of dark, solemn atmosphere, and also adds a lot of gothic psychedelic. The British classic rock group Pink Floyd is the band that they revered.

There is no doubt that the West is the birthplace of rock and roll. However , the United States is the rock the real birthplace accurately. In 1950s , a "Rock Around the Clock" from Bill Haley began the first roar of the rock and then western rock music has gone through rapid development , From the pure form of entertainment in 1950s to a cultural phenomenon in 60-70 years, and finally developed to the commercial phenomenon in the 1980s. 

In 1986, the first rock song was published in China officially, “hundred singing star concerts in the world peace year”. In the commemoration special edition included Cui Jian "Not to have a thing in the world", "It is not I Does not understand", it also symbolizes the Chinese rock and roll official birth.

In 2000 ,Beijing Midi Music School held the first Midi Music Festival. Midi Music Festival from 2000-2003free for charge, all of performances shall be the obligation performances. The performances continued from 14:00 to 24 or even later, the daily audience about 5,000 people. These qualities make  fans treat Midi Music Festival as the "Woodstock"  naturally. Except for first music festival, it is held in May of that year usually.

Midi Music Festival is the birthplace of the Chinese underground rock band - the first original music festival founded by Beijing Midi Music School , after the tenth of development , Midi Music Festival has become the one of loudest brand in the modern music area. There are many professional band at home and abroad volunteered the Midi Music Festival every year for free, in addition there are more than ten thousands of fanatical spectators flocked from all over the country, hundreds of well-known domestic and foreign media concerned about its dynamic.

Rock music in Chian

This is the first post in my blog, I hope you will like the content that I will post. From now on, I'd like update this blog periodical.
Obviously I'm Chinese and I like ROCK~~I am a university student in the UK, I find UK have wonderful environment about Rock music. this is the most different between China and UK.
For example, the Peking Opera is popular in China and it is like the quintessence of a country, just like the Rock in the western. however, Rock music is just start accepted in China, it also have a long way to go.
in the next post, I will post some video about Rock in China, hope you like it and support me.
